iHarmony is a fully complete collection of all the scales, chords and harmonizations you can find in music. Its very common for musicians getting confused about music theory...

"what notes the G# diminished 7 chord is made of?"
"what are the degrees of the Bebop Dominant scale?"

or even worse...

"whats the harmonization for D# Melodic Minor scale?"

No more getting annoyed to search the web about that Lydian 7b scale, the Neapolitan scale, or the Whole tone scale!

iHarmony offers you the most complete set of scales, chords, and harmonizations with over than 1500 entries and audio clips! The whole musical harmony always with you on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

You can choose between English (C, D, E…), Italian (Do, Re, Mi…), German (C, D, ...H), and French (Ut, Re, Mi...) notations.
Extremely useful when you write music, before a jam with your band, to do the functional analysis of jazz standards or just to do your musical homework.

Particular attention to accessibility and VoiceOver support.

iOS 13 dark mode support.

A must for every kind of musician!

Pros and cons of iHarmony app for iPhone and iPad

iHarmony app good for

Very good app. Its the best one to me, but we could choose to listen to the ascending scale OR descending scale, and not both at the same time. Thanks for that app.
I love this app. I emailed the developer a few months ago to suggest he include a North American style of formatting chords and he did! Top marks. :)
Please end the scales and such on the ONE! Otherwise its just musically frustrating.
Great music app, masterful selection of relevant information. If this had a repeat function for listening to the chords and scales it would be an easy 5. I cant get the scale or chord in one listen, I need to hear it again and again, preferably in a loop. Pressing the screen repeatedly gets dull. Also those who find the current ending frustrating can end the loop when they like.
This is great for music majors, music teachers, composers or anyone in a musical field. I feel this will help me branch out more and improve on my composition skills.
On the scales you dont include the last note for some reason. For instance you say the c major scale is c d e f g a b. You never finish the octave and it gets confusing. Fix this and Ill give this 5 stars.

Some bad moments

It is very confusing. Although there are many scales and chords, its hard to find them. Id like to see a search function where you can enter a chord, like Csus4 and get the notes. But first, we need the chords and scales displayed on a staff!
I have taught advanced music theory honors to prepare students for college as music major for the past 20 years and got is app on a lark to see if it would be a good tool for students. It is not. Is is inaccurate and misleading in its use of basic theory nomenclature which can make it confusing for theory students. For example - chords are made up of steps of a scale and each note within a chord is called a factor, and is referee to by an Arabic number (1,2,3,4) - not a Roman numeral (I, II, III, etc.) roman numerals should only refer to chords as they function within a given key. For example in C Major the I chord is based on the first step of the scale and is made up of steps 1,3,5 of e scale. (scale steps should also have carrots above them but couldnt type that) To me this is a big problem as students of theory regularly mix this up and get confused by the different numbering systems and their meanings. From the reviews it seems that many users downloading this are also beginners ( btw - the scale that goes with the dominant chord is the mixolydian scale - he major scale with a flat 7) It also just lists chords and scales with no information or association between the scales, chords, etc. This combined with the annoying 5 flat instead of flat 5 - not a great tool.
This was a useful app when it played back the notes, chords and scales. But ever since its first upgrade, it no longer plays back sound. Is a fix coming? Or is my money wasted?
This would be an awesome way to study up and get my ear in shape but It wont play any of the chords or scales.
I thought this app would show various ways to play chords on a piano. It does not, and isnt very helpful to me at all. Waste of money.
